In an era where broadband internet access is not available everywhere, fast access to information on websites is crucial.
Therefore, for several months, Google in search results has started to promote sites that resemble the first sites available even during GPRS connections. Still, the AMP technology that provides these sites is much more advanced and allows much more.
The AMPproject.org project is developing more and more and fewer, and fewer impossible blockades remain invincible to provide full functionality for these types of sites.
If you are thinking about creating these types of sites for your clients – remember that your AMP pages must comply with the AMP HTML specification. If you’re just getting started, learn how to create your first AMP HTML page.
Users must have, as far as possible, access to the same content and functions on AMP pages as on canonical pages (rel = “canonical”).
Entering URLs for AMP pages should be easy for users to associate.
For example, if the canonical page is at wppoland.com/kalafior, then the AMP page should be at amp.wppoland.com/kalafior or wppoland.com/amp/kalafior, not test.com/kalafior. This is important because when users click on the link to your AMP page from the Google search engine, they see the URL of the AMP page in the search engine (just like any other website). So they can get embarrassed when they see a URL that is not associated with the homepage in any way.
Your AMP pages must be valid to function as expected and be able to include AMP-related features. Pages with an incorrect AMP standard will not be indexed and delivered to your clients.
If you use structured data on your page, make sure that it complies with Google’s structured data policy.
Google’s AMP features, such as the slider for top stories, are currently only available on mobile devices. AMP pages are supported on all devices, including computers, but now there are no plans to extend AMP support to non-mobile devices.
No. AMP pages are displayed on all types of devices, so you should create them following the concept of responsive page design.
AMP pages display just as smoothly on mobile devices and computers. If the AMP standard supports all the features that are important to you, think about creating stand-alone AMP pages. In this way, the site will be convenient for both users of mobile devices and computers. Please note that for AMP pages on desktop computers, special AMP features will not be supported in Google search results.
Just enter its mobile version by adding /amp
